Create, Test, Repeat: A Week of Nonstop Making and Discovery
If your child loves to stay busy, this is their week.
At RAS Summer Camp, each week is designed as a themed Adventure Week — a unique, hands-on experience that gives kids something new to look forward to every time they come to camp. Families can choose one week or build a full summer, with 10 different Adventure Weeks offered throughout the season.
Make It Mania! is one of those ten and is all about trying something new.
Campers jump into a mix of hands-on projects and creative challenges. One day they might create an Animal Plushie using felt, stitching, and design choices. Another day, they could build a Cup Puppet full of personality or explore paper folding with Origami creations.
They will also get to test their skills with yo-yos and juggling, experiment with different materials, and rotate through art, building, and play stations filled with things like watercolors, pattern blocks, and board games.
And here is what makes it different.
It is not about mastering one skill. It is about discovering what they enjoy.
That mix of creating, experimenting, and exploring new interests is what makes this week so exciting, and often sparks hobbies kids want to keep going long after camp ends.
The Moment That Brings It All Together
The week wraps with a Maker Showcase.
Campers choose their favorite creation (or creations) to display and share. They talk about what they made, how they improved it, and what they learned.
It is a moment that highlights both effort and progress.
